Update!

So I have been here at Venice Beach for a week now. Its been pretty crazy, Time to pull my shit together and stop spending so much money on alcohol! When your not working you find yourself drinking every night and losing track of the days, its pretty dangerous! Venice Beach is pretty funny, there are homeless people, buskers and gypsies everywhere, everyone is very chill and carefree, never before have a seen such happy homeless people! The bums all have signs asking for money, the signs are straight to the point like “I need $1 for weed” or “too ugly to prostitue, too stupid to steal, give me $$$”! The hostel we have been staying at is nice, exxceeppptttt the room next to us has had construction work going on ALL DAY!!! It stops on weekends but otherwise starts at around 6:30am. Its the WORST! Im looking forward to leaving. We are getting picked up for Coachella tomorrow morning, im SO excited. We spend one night with our crew in Indio, andd thennn early Thursday morning we drive into the campgrounds. Bring on Coachella!!! 

Maja arrived today, so good seeing her again! We went and checked out the drum circle on venice beach. Its absolutely amazing! I will upload a video soon. People just take instruments down to the sand and start playing…heaps of hippies dance in the middle and there is a lot of weed smoking going on. Its just good times!

Hollywood!

So we decided to treat ourselves and stay 1 night on Hollywood Blvd. Stayed at the Roosevelt which was beautiful!! We went out for Japanese to this real fancy place called Geisha House, I had a sleazy old mexican trying to hit on me, he was really struggling for conversation, “so you know Kylie Minogue?” and “Ill tell you who is attractive, that Nicole Kidman” it was pretty funny. After Geisha House we went to the Tropicana pool bar, it is so nice but pretty expensive. Kind of reminded me of the pool bar at the Ivy. The night turned into a bit of copy of The Hangover, we all woke up not really knowing what happened, only finding out bits and pieces by little clues. Nick (a friend who was staying with us) bumped into some people in the morning who automatically started laughing when they saw him. They said “you dont remember us do you?” Nick was like ahhh no sorry who are you? They then told him that they were in the Elevator with him last night and he got naked and was like “who wants a naked elevator party, stuff the clubs lets stay in here and everyone get naked!” hahaha. Good times. Feeling very crook today but Maja gets here today so I may have to back it up!

Just touched down

So we just got to Venice Beach after around 16 hours of flying. Thank god. Its good to just lay down. I didnt sleep the whole time, turbulence was really bad through the night and I get pretty nervous with that sorta stuff! When Nina and I arrived at Auckland for our stopover we realised that they had put us at completely opposite ends of the plane for our flight to LA. Luckily a man next to Nina agreed to swap seats with me.

Finally got to La and caught a cab to the hostel, such a cool hostel, everyone is real friendly. 

Its such a nice day today, we are going to walk down to Santa Monica pier, and then meet some people from our hostel later on to go out.
